WE ONLY INSPECT
     MOBILE & MANUFACTURED HOMES!

                           About Our Business

It was a cool and rainy winter day in Southern California,
in 1987 when Greg Filian started Mobile Home Inspectors.
A contracting client said "If I only would have known I
needed a new roof when I bought the mobile home, I
would not have gone to Europe". Mobile Home Inspectors
was born then.

This client was taken advantage of by an unscrupulous
mobile home sales agent who told her the roof "was in
fine condition".

Greg studied the market and found there were no home
inspectors specializing in mobile or manufactured homes.
Of course there are those contractors who do inspections
with the intention of getting the repair business, but
according to the California Civil Code "it is unlawful to
refer, complete, or otherwise be a party to repairs that are
found in an inspection".

Over the years MHI has grown to become the only
recognized name, for comprehensive mobile home
inspections. Yes really!  While the booming housing
market in recent times has swelled the number of
conventional home inspectors, we are still the only
competent specialized mobile home inspection company.

At MHI we've seen mobile home sales agents come and
go. The ones that have stayed in the industry have
realized that pre-sale inspections are a must in order to
conform to  the California Health and Safety Code.

We've also seen yearly changes in the Department of
Housing and Community Development, Title 25, (guide
book for mobile home codes). It is true that many mobile
home sales agents, mobile home contractors, and even
park managers are not aware of some of  these
guidelines.  At MHI we keep up with these changes
quickly.

In addition to HCD Title  25 codes and standards, MHI
keeps up with other information sources and trainings
offered to our industry.

All the latest on site computer and printing technology is
used to complete the inspection and deliver it at the end
of the inspection.  Digital photography may also be used
depending on the clients needs.

At Mobile Home Inspectors, "Were on your side"!
